When an item you have requested to borrow is at a branch that’s not your preferred pick-up location, we need to get it there. While the item is travelling to your local branch, it’s ‘in transit.’ 


When we receive it at your preferred pick-up location, you’ll be contacted by phone or email that your hold is ready for you to pick up. You’ll have 7 days to check out the item before the hold expires. If the expired item is not picked up, it will be either returned to the shelf or go to the next person on the waitlist.
