Parents and caregivers are responsible for the behavior and safety of their children visiting the library and need to use the same caution with their children at the library as they would in any other public setting.
Under the Child and Family Services Act, 1990, children under 10 must be directly supervised by a responsible caregiver and cannot be left alone in the library.
When children under the age of ten attend library programs, parents or caregivers are required to either attend with their children or remain within the library and return to the programming area by the end of the program.
