There are limited 'designated' quiet rooms available at Central and New Appleby locations on a first-come, first-served basis for those looking for a quiet space to study or work alone. Unfortunately, space is limited, so we ask that you keep your length of stay reasonable and respectful of others who may be waiting to use a quiet room or pod.

If you are looking for a quiet space to attend a virtual meeting or make a phone call where you can talk and listen without disturbing others, our Quiet Pods at Central may be the answer for you. Two Quiet Pods are located just around the corner from our 3rd-floor Makerspacel. Each pod is WiFi-friendly with a built-in desk, power outlets, and energy-efficient ventilation fans and lights. The pods are available first come, first served and are in high demand, so please limit your stay to the duration of your phone call or meeting.

You may find other areas designated as quiet zones, such as on the 2nd floor at Central by the Local History Room, and other spaces that have fewer visitors on the day you come. These spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
