Burlington Public Library members can borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks from participating OverDrive partner libraries using their BPL card. Members can borrow up to 10 items and place up to 5 holds at each partner library. Loan periods are set by the library you are borrowing from. When fulfilling holds, partner libraries give priority to their own members.

 

Accessing Partner Libraries on a Desktop Computer: 

  1. Visit BPL's OverDrive website: https://burlingtonpl.overdrive.com.
  2. Select Partner Libraries at the top of the page. 
  3. Choose the partner library collection you would like to browse. 
  4. Browse the collection and select Borrow when you find a title you'd like to borrow.
  5. On the sign-in page, select Burlington Public Library as your home library. 
  6. Enter your 14-digit library card number and 4-digit PIN.
  7. Follow the instructions on the screen to finish borrowing the title. 

 

Accessing Partner Libraries on your Mobile Device

Using the Libby app
 Burlington Public Library has lending partnerships with other library systems. Partner libraries automatically appear in Libby, allowing you to browse and borrow titles using your Burlington Public Library card. You do not need to add the partner libraries or enter your library card information again.

  1. Open the Libby app.
  2. Tap the Menu icon.
  3. Under Partner Libraries, select a partner library collection.
  4. Browse the collection and borrow available titles using your Burlington Public Library card. 

Please note that with Libby, your checkouts and holds from BPL and partner libraries are shown together, regardless of which library they were borrowed from. There is an icon next to each title that lets you know which library a title came from or where the hold has been placed.
