There are three usual reasons why you might not be able to renew an item:

  1. The item is on hold for another customer who is waiting to borrow it;
  2. You may have reached your renewal limit: most items can be renewed up to 10 times for 21 days each time; and,
  3. Your library card may be temporarily suspended if you owe any money to the library.
